Origin of the name<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Since this is a gathering of IDF members and Christians related to them, it is named after the centurion Cornelio (Cornelious) who appears in the Acts of the Apostles.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Purpose of establishment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This Group was established for the purpose of helping Self-Defense Forces members and Christians related to them study the Bible together, deepen their faith and fellowship in Christ, and contribute to the accomplishment of their respective missions.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

met at 145 Kashiwagi, Yodobashi-cho, Toyotama-gun, Tokyo, Japan, in the direction of Toshioka,
for a good understanding of Christianity to be given within the Army,
prayed for each other.
Since then, they have met once a month under the name \u201cCornelius Group\".
\"The Cornelius Comm\" was started the publication<\/td>		<\/td><\/tr>
Dec, 1923<\/th>Published No. 1 - No. 89<\/td>Publisher : Chuwa Toshioka
Editor : Takeo Matsumoto<\/td><\/tr>
1926<\/th>Changed the name of bulletin to \"Cornelio\". From No.90 -<\/td><\/td><\/tr>
1941<\/th>It lasted until July for a total of 112 issues, for World War II
Mr. Toshioka is recalled and the publication is discontinued.
